Wholesale Account Manager - Foodservice (Leinster)

Are you a foodservice professional who excels at managing and growing established wholesale accounts, rather than chasing cold new business?

We're recruiting a Wholesale Account Manager - Foodservice for a well-established Irish food business supplying frozen and chilled products into the foodservice sector via leading wholesale partners. This role is all about developing existing relationships, increasing share of wallet and embedding product ranges within wholesale depots and their customer base.

The role

You'll take ownership of a defined portfolio of foodservice wholesale accounts across Leinster, working closely with depot teams to drive growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with a panel of existing wholesale customers
  • Acting as the main point of contact for depot managers and sales teams
  • Growing distribution, volume and margin across core and new product ranges
  • Supporting wholesalers to sell more effectively into:
    • Fast food and QSR outlets
    • Independent restaurants
    • Cafés, forecourts and family dining
  • Leading product introductions, tastings, depot days and promotional activity
  • Working commercially on pricing, promotions and range optimisation
  • Providing structured account plans, forecasts and performance updates

This is a field-based account management role, with typically 1-2 days per week in the Dublin office for meetings and planning.

About you

This role will suit someone who already understands the foodservice wholesale ecosystem. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in key account management or account development within:
    • Foodservice wholesaling, or
    • FMCG supplied through wholesale channels
  • Strong ability to manage long-term customer relationships, not just transactional sales
  • Solid commercial skills - confident discussing pricing, margins, promotions and distribution
  • Experience working alongside wholesale depot teams, telesales and van sales
  • A structured, organised approach to territory and account planning
  • Full driving licence and comfort in a field-based role
  • Based within commuting distance of Dublin

Experience selling into foodservice, catering or hospitality customers is essential. Wholesale-facing experience is a strong advantage.
