Senior Developer Advocate - Wearables & Mobile Platforms

  • Contract length: 12 months with potential to extend
  • Location: Remote UK

A global technology company is seeking an experienced Developer Advocate to support its next-generation AI glasses and wearables platform. This is a unique opportunity to engage thousands of developers, influence future product roadmaps, and shape the experiences built on emerging wearable technologies.

About the Role

You will inspire and support early-stage and established developers across the region, helping them build high-quality integrations and applications for an advanced wearables ecosystem. You'll represent the platform externally while working closely with internal teams including product engineering, product marketing, developer marketing, and comms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspire, educate, and engage developers at scale on opportunities across the wearables platform.
  • Execute regional developer activations, hackathons, content programs, and funded initiatives.
  • Build and nurture a robust pipeline of 3rd-party developers while gathering ongoing product feedback.
  • Lead presentations, workshops, and hands-on labs to support developer success.
  • Deliver localized programs in partnership with marketing teams.
  • Attend and present at key conferences, meetups, and industry events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align developer needs with internal teams.
  • Support content creation for online education and training materials.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with developer communities.
  • Background in iOS or Android mobile development.
  • Strong presentation and public-speaking skills.
  • Experience running and measuring program effectiveness.
  • Ability to translate insights and data into actionable program improvements.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
  • Independent, action-oriented problem-solver with a resourceful approach.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts.
  • Experience with wearables or emerging consumer tech.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
