Development Chef - Foodservice (Nationwide)
Location: Ideally Dublin / Greater Dublin Area (Nationwide Travel)
Are you a chef or foodservice professional who enjoys developing products, improving standards and showing others how to get the best from food?
We're recruiting a Development Chef for a well-established food business supplying high-quality products into deli counters, forecourts, fast-food outlets and catering operations across Ireland. This is a field-based role focused on product excellence, execution and training, not sales targets.
The role
As Development Chef, you'll be the expert face of the product in customer sites nationwide. You will:
Visit deli counters, food-to-go outlets, and catering sites across Ireland
Demonstrate best practice in cooking, preparation, holding and serving products
Provide serving suggestions, menu inspiration and presentation guidance
Support the launch of new product lines, ensuring teams know how to use them properly
Work hands-on in kitchens and counters, coaching staff on quality and consistency
Monitor and feedback on product performance, standards and compliance in live environments
Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to support promotions and customer activity
This is a non-quota, non-sales role. The focus is on quality, training, and helping customers succeed.
About you
You'll likely come from a background such as:
Development Chef / Sous Chef / Head Chef
Deli Manager or Food-to-Go Manager
Catering Supervisor or Foodservice Trainer
And you will bring:
Strong experience in foodservice, catering or hospitality
Solid understanding of kitchen operations, deli counters and food-to-go execution
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards (formal certification an advantage)
Confidence working directly with chefs, store managers and frontline teams
Excellent communication skills and a practical, hands-on approach
Full driving licence and flexibility to travel nationwide
Ideally, you'll be based within reasonable reach of Dublin, but comfortable working independently on the road.
