Indirect Tax Manager (12-Month Contract)


Dublin | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 remote)

A global technology organisation is hiring an Indirect Tax Manager to join its Dublin-based tax team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is a highly visible role within a fast-paced international environment, focused on providing specialist indirect tax advice, supporting global compliance, and driving process improvements across the business.

The Role

You will act as a key indirect tax advisor, partnering closely with the tax team and wider business to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical indirect tax advice across the business
  • Partnering with senior tax leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Supporting global indirect tax compliance and process improvement initiatives
  • Identifying refund and cash flow optimisation opportunities
  • Monitoring changes in the indirect tax landscape and assessing business impact
  • Reviewing indirect tax filings and reconciliations
  • Supporting tax authority queries and audits
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including IT, on tax-related projects

What They're Looking For

  • 7+ years' experience in an international indirect tax environment
  • Strong expertise in VAT / GST and indirect tax legislation
  • Proven ability to deliver practical, commercially focused tax advice
  • Experience working across multiple stakeholders in a global business
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills - able to simplify complex tax matters
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
  • CTA / ACCA qualification preferred
  • Strong Excel and general systems proficiency
