Director - Business Operations (Private Equity / Growth Capital)
Dublin City Centre | Hybrid (4 days office / 1 day remote)
12 month contract
Salary: €175,000 (no further benefits)
The role
We are supporting a global investment platform in the early-growth private equity space as they appoint a Director of Business Operations for a 12 month contract.
This is a senior oversight and gatekeeper role, sitting at the centre of the investment lifecycle. With deployment activity accelerating through 2026, the focus is on ensuring investments are executed correctly, governance is maintained, and the platform scales in a controlled, disciplined way.
You will work closely with a globally distributed investment team and a small, experienced business operations group.
What you'll be responsible for
- Acting as a senior business operations partner to the investment team
- Overseeing the operational execution of investments, from approval through to close
- Ensuring policies, procedures and governance frameworks are consistently followed
- Supporting investment closings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinating quarter-end processes, including investment and performance reporting
- Working closely with finance, accounting and audit teams
- Interpreting financial models, investment data and reporting to support oversight and decision-making
- Maintaining strong operational controls as investment activity increases
- Managing senior stakeholders, including engagement with the investment committee
- Supporting selection and oversight of third-party service providers
This is an oversight role - you will not be producing fund accounting outputs, but you will be accountable for ensuring accuracy and compliance.
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in private equity, growth capital, infrastructure or private markets
- A solid finance background, with the ability to interpret financial models and complex financial information
- Experience working closely with investment teams and investment committees
- Proven capability in operational oversight, governance and control
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial models
- Experience managing quarter-end processes and working with audit and financial reporting stakeholders
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to act as a gatekeeper
A professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) is beneficial, but not essential with relevant experience.
