The role: Technical Writer – Software Testing
Business: Global Media Tech
Contract: 6 months (to start ASAP – max 4 weeks notice)
Salary: £88k basic (PAYE, paid weekly, WITHIN IR35)
Location: Hybrid based in Central London (min 3 days per week in the office) - you must be fully clear to work in the UK without the need of sponsorship/relocation.
As an experienced Technical Writer, you’ll be writing to document the businesses industry-leading software and technology for developers around the world. You’ll create and maintain documentation and related development materials for tools, products and platforms that form the typical flows of software development. You’ll be working closely with engineering, product, and support teams to ensure quality and accuracy of content. You’ll be required to design, draft, and edit technical and process documentation.
About you:
You’ll have at least 7+ years minimum experience authoring complex technical documentation for an engineering audience.
You’ll have strong experience in working with SDK or API documentation for a technical audience.
You’ll have experience with the likes of Java, Python or JavaScript as you’ll be dealing daily with developers/programmers
You’ll have proven experience in interpreting example code so that it can be explained to users, as well as experience of using source control to manage and publish content.
You’ll be able to show an established record of project ownership, project management, and self-direction
You’ll be able to show strong & effective collaboration across multiple teams and competing deadlines
