Due to some exciting new developments at IPing Ltd. we're looking for a friendly, quick thinking, proactive and motivated Technical Support Engineer with a passion for excellence. The successful candidate will work on customer sites and remotely, so you will have a superb face-to-face communication skills and telephone manner. You will be the main point of contact with customers for the duration of their project/problem with the ability to manage that relationship and their expectations. You will be commercially aware and 'street-smart' in understanding the needs of customers and iPing in a fast-moving environment. IPing Ltd. is seeking to hire a Technical Support Engineer. The candidate should have 5 years' experience in an IT related role with some experience working with TCP/IP and with some knowledge of DNS and DHCP as well as IP address networking and firewalls. You will have the full support of our expertise and experience including appropriate training and guidance. You must be a strong communicator and be able to work as a member of a team. Experience counts, but most of all you've got to have passion, responsibility and pride in what you do. You will only accept the best performance from yourself.
You will have an understanding and experience of:
- Microsoft suite of products
- Office 365
- Google Apps and mail
- Mobile devices - iOS and Android
- DNS and MX records
- Active Directory
- Veeam Backup
- Windows Server
- Cloud-based storage products such as Dropbox
- Broadband routers
- Firewalls and security including Sonicwall
Education, Certifications and Experience:
- A suitable third level qualification
- A proven track record of success
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
