Social Media Manager -Crisis Management
- Salary: €55-€76k
- Contract length: 6 months with potential to extend
- Location: Fully remote in Ireland
- Working hours: full time 40 hours per week, must be able to work weekends+ public holidays and evening shifts.
- Please note that this role requires you to work Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday for 9 hours per day (including a 1 hour break) anywhere between 7am to 8pm
A leading global community platform is seeking a highly skilled Social Media Manager to join its Channel Communications team. In this role, you will support reputational risk management, contribute to issues and crisis response strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally across global teams.
You'll manage reactive and proactive communications across social platforms, provide campaign reporting, and help shape content and response playbooks.
You'll need excellent writing skills, a strong grasp of social listening tools, and experience handling sensitive, high-impact messaging. Proficiency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor emergent issues across social media channels
- Ability to work cross functionally on communications initiatives involving Community Support and Trust operations, Policy, Regulatory, Corporate and Crisis Management
- Draft copy and publish content across different channels
- Assist with developing playbooks and guidance on best practice
- Assist with measuring campaign/project effectiveness
- Support the team with the management of sensitive, high risk reactive & proactive communications on the company's social media channels
Requirements:
- Experience managing crisis communications in digital channels
- Comfortable in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Skilled in stakeholder communications and social media publishing tools
- Available for non-standard work schedules including weekends
