Provider Relations Consultant- Health Insurance Company

An inspiring not for profit Medical Insurance provider that was set up to help low income and disadvantaged members of the community afford healthcare would like to appoint a mainly field based Liasion Consultant to interact between Hospitals/Health providers and the insurance company.
As a Provider Relations Consultant, you’ll act as the primary liaison between the contracted medical providers and internal departments, such as Claims, Benefits, Audit, Member and Provider Enrollment and Clinical Services. In this role, you’ll identify and resolve multiple issues and work closely with the leadership team to problem-solve and report trends.


The Offer

An annual salary of $75K per year depending on experience
The position requires 75% local travel to provider partners within the assigned region. Position will work from home when not traveling
$1000 signing bonus (after 1st 90 days)

What you need to succeed:

2+ year’s experience in a managed care or healthcare environment is preferred
You must be able to run reports to identify trends and to assess claims etc.
Experience with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies
Previous Provider Relations experience in Massachusetts
Understanding of provider coding and billing practices
Must have a valid driving license & access to a car
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administrative or related field and/or equivalent experience
