This is a hybrid role, based between the offices near to Preston, Lancashire & home. This is NOT a remote-only role; candidates MUST already live within a commutable distance of Preston, Lancashire. The hybrid split is to be discussed at interview stage.
The role: PHP Software Developer
About you:
- Strong PHP (up to 8.2), MySQL/MariaDB and object-oriented programming skills
- Expertise in using frameworks and MVC architecture to create web applications
- Proficient with HTML5, SCSS/SASS, CCS3, JS, jQuery and Bootstrap
- Excellent communication skills with proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and speak to non-technical audiences
- Ability to gather comprehensive specifications from project managers and clients
- Git version control (particularly on CLI)
- Commercial use of phpMyAdmin and general database administration
- Understanding of SOLID and design pattern principles
- Demonstrate and exercise best security practices
- Experience building and integration REST APIs, implementing concepts such as AJAX and JSON
- Understanding of GDPR and the Data Protection Act
