Business Continuity Analyst
Contract | On-site - Dublin Central | Major National Healthcare Programme
We are supporting a large, complex public-sector organisation delivering one of Ireland's most significant digital and infrastructure programmes: the opening of a large new healthcare facility, underpinned by a major Electronic Health Records (EHR) implementation.
As part of this programme, we are seeking Business Continuity Analysts to support go-live readiness and ensure continuity of care and operations during system outages or major incidents.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, suited to candidates with strong business continuity experience from healthcare, technology, regulated, or other mission-critical environments.
The opportunity
- Initial 6-month contract (with potential extension)
- Full-time, on-site role at a major new national facility
- Opportunity to work on a once-in-a-generation programme with real-world impact
- Multiple positions available, including one more senior/supervisory profile and two junior/analyst-level hires.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and documenting Business Continuity Access (BCA) plans for clinical and non-clinical systems
- Designing emergency access workflows, fallback procedures and escalation paths
- Supporting go-live readiness for a large-scale EHR and hospital systems programme
- Coordinating and executing scenario testing during technical dress rehearsals
- Validating access and continuity mechanisms during simulated outages
- Working closely with clinical, operational, security and technical stakeholders
- Ensuring plans align with security and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, NIS2)
- Producing clear documentation and reporting on risks, gaps and outcomes
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in business continuity planning within a complex or critical environment (healthcare, tech, utilities, financial services, large enterprise, etc.)
- Strong understanding of access management, emergency access or continuity controls
- Experience working to tight timelines in high-risk, high-visibility programmes
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
- A practical, calm, problem-solving mindset
Nice to have (but not essential)
- Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic or similar large enterprise systems
- Background in IT, cybersecurity, identity & access management, or service resilience
- Business Continuity or IT Service Management certifications (e.g. CBCP, ITIL)
Why this role
This is not a theoretical business continuity exercise. You will be directly involved in ensuring patient safety, operational resilience, and readiness for a nationally critical healthcare go-live.
If you have delivered business continuity in environments where failure is not an option, this will be a highly rewarding assignment.
