Financial Assistant – Expenses and Payroll (12-Month Contract)

Are you detail-oriented, financially savvy, and ready to step into a pivotal support role within a dynamic finance team? We're recruiting an Assistant to join a high-performing, mission-driven organisation that plays a critical role in supporting Ireland’s economic development.
In this 12-month contract, you'll work closely with the Payroll and Finance Executive, supporting a broad range of finance-related activities — from expense processing to staff support and system updates.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in processing and verifying domestic and international expense claims
- Monitor and manage staff charge card balances
- Maintain accurate financial records using the Centros financial management system
- Provide direct support to staff on expenses queries, training, and best practices
- Contribute to continuous process improvement and broader team support within Payroll, Expenses, and Financial Management
- Support the Senior Accountant as needed
What We’re Looking For
- A finance-related qualification or relevant work experience in a finance support role
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a helpful, professional manner
- Proficient in using financial systems (experience with Centros is a plus)
- A third-level qualification (or working towards one) is desirable
