An internationally recognised technology organisation is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to support its UK press office. This is a high-visibility role operating at the intersection of media, public policy and corporate communications.

You will be embedded within a lean UK team, partnering closely with EMEA and global communications, policy and legal stakeholders. The environment is fast-moving, reactive and politically sensitive. This role is suited to someone who thrives under scrutiny and can operate with precision at pace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of a busy UK press office, managing both reactive and proactive media activity
  • Draft statements, op-eds, social content and newsroom copy
  • Manage high-priority inbound media enquiries with speed and sound judgement
  • Build and maintain relationships with tier 1 UK media
  • Partner cross-functionally with Policy, Legal and Community Operations teams
  • Work alongside external agencies to drive proactive announcements and narrative positioning
  • Translate complex global policies into clear UK-facing messaging

Required Experience

  • 5-8 years' experience in a corporate press office, ideally within technology or high-profile consumer brands
  • Strong UK media network, particularly across national and business press
  • Experience working with policy-sensitive issues and senior internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable crisis and reactive press management experience
  • Proven ability to operate across multiple global teams simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance output and efficiency

What This Role Offers

  • Exposure to complex, globally significant issues
  • Direct ownership within a lean UK structure
  • Strategic influence across policy-driven narratives
  • High-profile media engagement
