Business Development/Product Manager - Medical Device Consumables

Vitalograph is a world leading designer and manufacturer of cardio-respiratory equipment and software systems used in healthcare and cardio-pulmonary clinical drug trials. We now wish recruit a Business Development Manager to manage our range of respiratory medical consumables and single patient/single use devices. The role will primarily involve sales development of the aforementioned products in global markets through a combination of marketing, promotion and sales channel training and development. The role location will be either Ireland or the UK depending on candidate availability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Devise marketing and sales campaigns and programs for respiratory medical consumables and single use/single patient devices.
  • Create and develop sales collateral, tools and support material for all global sales channels.
  • Monitor product performance and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Identify high-potential target customers and develop in conjunction with both internal and external sales.
  • Maintain the company branding and visualisation guidance across the full suite of products within your remit.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies to achieve the company sales and profitability targets.
  • Train direct and indirect sales channels in all aspects of the products under your remit.
  • Provide sales and channel partners with support in special sales calls and events.
  • Liaise and partner with other stakeholders such as R&D, RA, production, sales and marketing to ensure marketing content is optimised for the target markets and complies with all regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the aggregator of customer requirements and summarise this feedback to shape product specifications and strategy.
  • Maintain product performance metrics in terms of sales, margin and quality.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies to achieve the company sales and profitability targets.

Essential Requirements

  • Primary degree in marketing/business or an engineering or life science field.
  • 5+ years' experience in high volume medical device or consumable sales.
  • Demonstrable track record of revenue growth.
  • Experience in devising demonstrably successful marketing programs and campaigns.
  • People management skills in an international, matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and written.
  • Experience in nurturing KOLs and clinical decision makers.
