IT Systems Administrator

Vitalograph is one of the world-leading manufacturers of medical Spirometers that are used in the diagnosis of respiratory disorders, and advanced high-reliability software systems used in clinical trials. We have been established in Ennis, Co. Clare for over forty years.

We are looking to appoint an experienced senior IT professional to manage all IT operations at our Ennis facility. Reporting to the VP of Technical Services.

Main responsibilities

• Administrate virtualisation infrastructure, directory services, mail servers, network and endpoint security, LAN/WAN, software applications, fileservers
• Manage access control
• Version control of software and systems
• Project manage system upgrades and new deployments
• Manage data back-up and archiving systems
• Helpdesk support
• Manage third party provider SLA's
• Maintain documentation and records
• Help develop and maintain ISMS (ISO27001)

Essential

• 5+ years' experience in IT system administration
• Good working knowledge of VMware, Active Directory and MS-Exchange
• Experience identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Diligent, with a high attention to detail
• Excellent diagnostic fault finding skills
• Excellent planning and time management
• A high degree of professionalism

Desired

• Third level qualification in a related field
• Experience working in an ISO27001 environment
• Good understanding LAN/WAN networking architectures and protocols

Hours:

• Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 17:00pm
• Friday 8:30am to 16.00pm
