National Account Manager - Foodservice

We're recruiting a National Account Manager for a well-established international food business with a significant presence across Ireland and Europe. With a broad portfolio of frozen food products and a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer partnership, the business continues to invest in growth across the foodservice channel.
This is a high-impact commercial role focused on managing and developing key wholesale foodservice accounts across Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer relationships and delivering commercially effective account plans.
While experience within seafood would be advantageous, we are equally interested in candidates with a strong background selling frozen food products into foodservice wholesale or hospitality channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow relationships with key foodservice customers, wholesalers and distribution partners across Ireland.
- Create, negotiate and execute customer business plans aligned to sales and growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to increase distribution, volume, profitability and share of wallet within existing accounts.
- Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, promotions, annual agreements and investment proposals.
- Drive successful launches of new products and support customer activation plans.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, finance, technical and marketing teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
- Monitor account performance, sales trends and market opportunities, adapting plans to maximise growth.
- Deliver accurate sales forecasts and support demand planning activities.
- Represent the business professionally at customer meetings, industry events and trade exhibitions.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a National Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Senior Foodservice Sales role.
- Strong background within the foodservice sector.
- Experience selling frozen food products is highly desirable.
- Established relationships across foodservice, hospitality, catering, wholesale or distribution channels.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pricing, margin and promotional activity.
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence and build long-term customer partnerships.
- Experience developing and executing customer business plans.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, customer-facing environment.
- Strong analytical, forecasting and planning skills.
- Full driving licence.
