Financial Accountant (Japanese Speaking)
11-Month Contract | Hybrid | Dublin West

I'm partnering with a globally recognised software and technology organisation that is seeking a Japanese-speaking Financial Accountant to join its high-performing Accounting Centre of Excellence on an 11-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class finance function where you'll gain exposure to international statutory reporting, audit, financial controls and accounting transformation within a complex multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead statutory reporting activities for a portfolio of international legal entities
  • Prepare and review financial statements under local GAAP
  • Manage the annual statutory audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Support month-end close and general ledger accounting activities
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and internal financial controls
  • Prepare VAT and other statutory compliance returns
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives
  • Work closely with global finance teams across multiple regions

What we're looking for

  • Qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA accountant
  • Fluency in Japanese (written and spoken) is essential
  • Strong financial statement preparation and review experience
  • Experience managing statutory audits and external auditors
  • Background within a multinational organisation or Big Four practice
  • If coming from practice, candidates should typically be operating at Assistant Manager level or equivalent
  • Experience with SAP, BlackLine or similar ERP/finance systems would be advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills and excellent analytical ability
